When I first came to the museum, I primarily was looking for an artist who was a graphic designer or painter. When I came across the work of George Krause, I was completely blown away from his vision and creations. The piece that stood out the most to me was named the “death mask”. This photograph was clearly executed and thought out, and had a very distinct three-dimensional quality to it.
After I came home from the museum, I decided to Google George Krause to see a full display of his work. I was surprised when I found he was also into sculptures, some of which have inspired me for my current proposals. He tried to portray catholic sculptures that would normally be seen in a church, but he put his own spin to them. I found both his photography and works in other media’s to be inspiring.
